Your saved puzzles, tutorial progress, settings, Endless results and word exposure history are stored in your browser. Clearing site data removes these local records. If storage is unavailable, keep the tab open: unsaved progress will be lost when it closes.

Google sign-in and ranked play

Tutorials, Puzzles, Endless and viewing leaderboards do not require an account. Ranked play requires Google sign-in. The service verifies Google's identity token and stores your Google account identifier, a generated or chosen public nickname, and session records. It does not store your Google password or email address.

We store ranked attempts, actions and verified results to operate competitions and check scores. Nicknames and ranked results appear on public leaderboards.

Fresh puzzles and challenge links

We store which words, categories and puzzles you have seen to reduce repeats. Guest records use a random browser identifier. After sign-in, this history merges with your account.

Challenge links are public. They preserve a fixed puzzle snapshot and the result shared with the link. Anyone with a link can open it; avoid including personal information in your nickname.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics 4 loads on interactive site pages only after you choose “Allow analytics.” It measures visits and standard page interactions using browser identifiers and sends usage data to Google. We do not send puzzle answers or account details as custom analytics events. Ads-related consent remains off. Declining analytics does not change the game.

Your choice is saved in this browser. You can change it at any time using Analytics choices on the game site. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics loading and clears the analytics cookies we can access. Google handles previously received data under its privacy policy.

Cookies, providers and retention

Necessary cookies maintain your session, identify a guest browser and protect requests. Session cookies expire after 30 days. Signing out ends your session; it does not delete your saved scores or browser data.

Cloudflare hosts the service and database. Google handles sign-in and, if you agree, analytics. Request metadata, including IP addresses, is used for rate limiting and service security. Game, exposure and competition records currently remain until removed by the site operator.

Social sharing opens the platform you choose. Google and those platforms process information under their own privacy policies.

Generated puzzle vocabulary uses Open English WordNet 2025 (CC BY 4.0), with wordfreq familiarity filtering. Read the content attribution and license.
